3D MODELING
MARIO WORLD PROJECT
As a Nintendo fan, I decided to play with Maya and design a bonus fase for Mario World. I had a lot of fun modeling this iconic characters, such as the Goomba and the 1+ up murshroom. It was also challenging and pleasing to work in this Mario World aesthetic. The yellow surprise boxes were a challenge and a fun puzzle to solve.
LOW-POLY CHARACTER
This project was also done at the Savannah College of Art and Design. The goal was to make a low-poly character for mobile games that was below 500 polys. I was inspired by the aesthetic of Legend of Zelda from Nintendo 64, and also by Disney's Fantasia (especially the flower centaurs scene. Although I could not reach the goal of 500 polys (so much for choosing to do a hybrid character with 6 pairs of limbs) I was happy with the 570 polys and the blocky-early Nintendo feel.
HIGH-POLY CHARACTER
This character was developed on my ZBrush class at the Savannah College of Art and Design. After experiments with low-poly characters, the goal this time was to sculpt a high-poly character for games, which we then did the retopologised in Maya and uploaded to Unity.
